

The game isn't designed for Gun on Gun combat. I really hope nothing like this happens in the game again. Rais is exactly the kind of asshole to do that exact thing. I agree it's cheap, but it makes complete sense in the context of the story. This is basically telling developers to never make the player try for anything. I love this game so much, and to have such a bad level is like an absolute slap in the face. Oh and those enemies (and large enemies as a whole) get way more common later on, have fun!


Just dodge and throw the various pipes and stuff laying around the area. It's almost like they wanted you to try a little bit. It was incredibly frustrating and not fun to have so much progress reset. Taking away all my items and gear and making me fight a giant, cheap enemy is just not fun. Or not, it's basically EZ Mode during the day once you have decent guns.

I saw it as a challenge and it makes sense, Rais is out to basically become the new ruler of Harran, why wouldn't most of his thugs have guns? Plus later on you'll be happy there's firearms, even moreso once you start The Following. I can't fathom why in a game where I get to freerun and kill zombies, Techland thought I'd want an annoying parking garage gunfight with this game's clunky weapon mechanics. That's part of what makes Hard difficulty hard. So play on Normal if being penalized for dying is such a tragedy. I've been getting by pretty well on hard difficulty, but on the Pit I lost 62,000 survivor points, all the way down to zero. I've been having the best time with Dying Light but on the Pit I almost gave up. We do encourage original content, however. Unmarked posts will be removed and member subject to severe punishment.
